APAMT’s 10th Congress was held in Penang, Malaysia, from 12 – 14 November 2011, co-organized and hosted by the National Poison Centre of Malaysia. A pre-congress workshop on Pesticide Poisoning and Drug Abuse was conducted a day before the main congress attended by 52 participants.

The theme for the 10th congress is “Promoting Health Through Sustainable Chemical and Drug Safety Initiatives”. There were 30 lectures by Invited Speakers including a special session of webinar from UCSF – Fresno Medical Center, California, USA, courtesy of Dr. Rais Vohra. Other components of the program consisted of 37 Free Orals and 77 Posters presentations.

The National Poison Centre of Malaysia wish to thank APAMT for the privilege to host the 10th congress, twice since 2001. The success of the meeting was the effort and hard work of all components of the Organizing Committee, both local and international. Every effort, big or small, is greatly appreciated.

With every best wishes to Hong Kong as it begins preparations for the 11th APAMT, 29th November – 1 December 2012.
